This style of fishing often involves slow trolling live baits, sightfishing, and or dangling them from fishing kites to entice strikes from predatory species such as sailfish, wahoo, tuna, king mackerel. Captain Lee also uses live bait to catch reef fish such as grouper, snapper, and amberjack.
Captain Lee specializes in dolphin (mahi-mahi) fishing during the spring and summer months where he and his crew troll offshore and sight fish for the dolphin under birds, debris, and weed lines formed by the Gulfstream currents. While doing this type of fishing marlin both blue and white can be caught along with sailfish, tuna ,and wahoo. Spring and summer is also a great time to bottom fish for grouper, snapper, and amberjack amongst are deep reefs and wrecks. Summer is also the best time for the daytime swordfish-dolphin combo trips because the seas are calm and the days are long.
